Reasons I'm In Love with England : #25 James Bond

I'm not sure why, but I somehow feel like a grew up watching James Bond films. Of course, when I was younger, my dad would always be the one watching, and I would join in. He'd always tell me when to close my eyes though, usually during the intimate "Oh, James!" scenes... Always looking out for my best interests, that man!

A number a years ago, we noticed that one of the TV stations aired a "Bond-athon" every year over Thanksgiving weekend. I'm pleased to say it became somewhat of a tradition, though maybe one that my mother didn't necessarily approve of...

I don't know what it is about Bond that captivates me: the Britishness, the gadgets, the cars, guns, fight scenes and chases, the cheesy lines, Q, M, or just the awesomeness of the suave spy character that was good ole Bond, James Bond. I think it has to be that the films have it all wrapped up into an explosive, dramatic, and witty hour and a half time frame for me to enjoy in mass quantities at least once a year. I don't know what to say, except I love them!!
